The Net Media Netherlands Foundation has a goal to facilitate for non-commercial radio stations. The foundation ensures that the Dutch rules and regulations are met in order to be able to facilitate legal webcasting for its stations.
There are many small webcasting groups who are talented but lack the funds to legally reach a large audience. Here, Net Media Netherlands helps webcasters to create a place where they can legally reach their audience; a place where the collaboration between webcasters is a focal point.
The costs for the streaming of copyrighted materials are increasing exponentially over time. It is no longer realistically affordable to have a stream running that is not occupied 24/7. By helping webcasters to collaborate their time, Net Media Netherlands can offer a service for the entire day - with a wide variety of content.
